Plain version: Seen NC is a free, independent tool that helps you pick a calmer DMV office. The wait numbers are informational, not a guarantee — and we're not the DMV.

What Seen NC is

Seen NC ranks North Carolina driver-license offices by how quiet they tend to be, using wait data from the state's public queue feed. It's meant to help you decide where and when to go. That's it — we don't schedule appointments, take payments, or process any DMV transaction.

The wait data is informational, not a promise

Office quietness scores and "wait at closing" numbers are built from historical readings of the state's feed. They describe how an office has run, which is not a guarantee of how it will run when you arrive. Lines change minute to minute, offices close early or hit outages, and the state's feed is structurally blind to some big-city offices (which we label "not measured"). Treat every number as a helpful estimate and never as a promised wait time. Always confirm the office is open and can handle your transaction before you drive.

Acceptable use

Use Seen NC for your own personal, lawful purposes. Don't scrape, overload, or attempt to disrupt the site, and don't use it in a way that violates any law or the rights of others.

Affiliate links & third-party sites

Some links (for example, lodging near an office) are affiliate links, and we may earn a commission on bookings made through them, at no extra cost to you. Those bookings happen on third-party sites governed by their own terms and privacy policies. We don't control those sites and aren't responsible for their content, prices, availability, or how they handle your reservation. Affiliate relationships never influence the office rankings.

No warranty

Seen NC is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, or uninterrupted availability. We don't warrant that the data is current, complete, or error-free.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Seen NC and its operator are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss arising from your use of (or inability to use) the site — including a wasted trip, a missed appointment, or reliance on any wait estimate. Your use of the site is at your own risk.

Changes

We may update the site and these terms at any time. When we change the terms, we'll revise the "last updated" date above. Continued use means you accept the current version.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.
